Alumni Wheelhouse

Being at the Apprenticeshop is a life-altering experience for many of us. It can change our ideas of what is possible. It can change our career paths or life trajectories. It can lead to lifelong friendships and partnerships. Everyone that passes through leaves a mark on the place, in the form of a new tradition, a shoe nailed to the wall, a bench built, a photo, and of course, a boat; there are countless ways in which alumni have touched the ‘Shop and molded it into the place it is today. As alums, you, not the physical building, hold the Apprenticeshop’s almost-50-year history in your hands and memories.

We want to build strong and consistent relationships with our alumni, engaging you as advocates, ambassadors, stewards, and supporters to help make us a better, richer, more sustainable organization. We want to connect the thread that runs between past and present. If you’re not already on our newsletter list, you can subscribe below to stay in touch with what we’re building and doing as an organization now. You can check out our alumni map to find old friends, post or comment on photos of years and projects past, or send us a note with your updated contact information so we know where you are and what you’re up to. Write us a letter, send us an email, or call us. Come visit the ‘Shop and take a tour, join us for a boat launch, planking party, Friday community lunch, or Free Friday Sail. We would love to hear from you!

Join Our Email List

The best way to stay up to date on what’s happening at the ‘Shop is to join our email list. In our monthly updates, we send out information about upcoming events and classes you can register for. We also send out a monthly email with our most recent blog posts. And quarterly, we send out a more in-depth newsletter with updates from the shop floor and the waterfront.
